- 8 large banana peppers
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Parmesan cheese
- Cheese
Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating your pellet smoker to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the bulk sausage until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
3. While the sausage is browning, prepare the banana peppers by cleaning them and cutting them in half lengthwise. Ensure the halves are flat and can lay evenly on a baking tray.
4. Remove the ribs and seeds from the halved peppers.
5. Combine the cream cheese and garlic salt with the cooked sausage, stirring until well mixed.
6. Spoon the sausage and cream cheese mixture into the halved peppers, ensuring they are evenly filled. Arrange the filled peppers on a rimmed baking sheet.
7. Once all the peppers are stuffed, place the baking sheet in the preheated pellet smoker. Cook for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers reach your desired level of softness.
8. After removing from the pellet smoker, allow the peppers to cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
