GrillZilla recipe for making delicious grilled burgers on a Blackstone griddle

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Hamburger buns

  • Sliced cheese (optional)

  • Lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, or any desired toppings

  • Condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and mayo

Step 1: Preheat the Blackstone griddle Turn on your Blackstone griddle and preheat it to medium-high heat. This will ensure that the griddle is hot enough to sear the burgers.

Step 2: Shape the burger patties Divide the ground beef into equal portions and shape them into patties. Make sure the patties are slightly larger than the buns, as they will shrink while cooking. Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3: Oil the griddle Once the griddle is preheated, drizzle a little oil on the griddle surface and spread it around using a spatula or brush. This will prevent the patties from sticking to the griddle.

Step 4: Cook the burgers Place the burger patties on the hot griddle and let them cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side. Avoid pressing down on the patties with a spatula, as this can squeeze out the juices. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side. If you're adding cheese, place a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Step 5: Toast the buns While the burgers are cooking, you can lightly toast the hamburger buns on the griddle for a few seconds. This will give them a nice crispy texture.

Step 6: Assemble the burgers Remove the cooked burger patties from the griddle and place them on the toasted buns. Add your desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. Don't forget to spread condiments like ketchup, mustard, and mayo on the buns.

Step 7: Serve and enjoy Your delicious Blackstone griddle burgers are now ready to be served! Serve them hot and enjoy them with your favorite side dishes.

Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the patties and desired level of doneness. Make sure to cook the burgers to a safe internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for ground beef.
